The File Tool - version 2.0 TFT is a tool for searching files and for searching files including a specified text. At the right top the actual drives are listed. Click the drives you want to search on (multiple drives are possible) then give in the filespec ( '*' and '?' are allowed ) you want to search for and then the text ( none if you only want to find a file ). Now klick START at the left top and TFT will work. With a doubleklick on a found file there will come a toolbox. First you can see the name, the path, the length, the time, the date and the attributes of the file. Second there are some icons. The ToolBox : The first magnifier ( with ASCII in it ) is for looking the file in ASCII-Code. By testing the program it crush's down sometimes by normal textfile. I don't know what it is. Sorry. The second magnifier ( with HEX in it ) is for looking the file in HEX-Dump. Here sometimes you only see a part of the selected file. The third icon is for cliping the file into the clipboard ( that is available in the magnifiers too ). The first icon with disks on it ( one full and one schematic ) is for renaming the file. ATTENTION : here you have to give the FULL path name ! The icon with three full disks on it is for copieing a file. ATTENTION : here you have to give the FULL path name of the destination file ( of course of the source file too )! The icon with the footsteps on it is for moving a file. ATTENTION : here you have to give the FULL name of the new Path ! The icon with the stamp on it is for changing the attributes. The icon with the trashcan is for deleting the file. The spy is for canceling the toolbox. The rename and the move function are the same, but..... At the function where the FULL path name is neccesary the FULL file name is neccesary too ! Lower versions than v2.0 : Excuse me that i let them out. The v1.0 does not give the memory back and is not loadable for a second time and at the time i debug that bug i take the wrong source-code so v1.1 has more bugs than 1.0. But both versions are only DEMO versions. Forget them ! I think this version (v2.0) has not so much bugs and it is fast and usefull. There are two little bugs which i can't find until yet. First by some files looking in ASCII the program is terminated ( By some TXT, or BAT , I don't know why ! ) and second by files greater than a special size the HEXVIEW will not show the whole files. A registration will cost 30 US-$ ( or more if you want ! ). Then you will get a version with your own address in it, and for every user who send your version for registrate himself you will get 10 US-$ back ( Of course, if more then three users will make this you can get more than 30 US-$ back ! ). At last my adress : Frank Erz Feldstrasse 11 5552 Morbach GERMANY Phone : (Germany) 06533 / 4697 ( But i'm not very often at home ! ----------------end-of-author's-documentation--------------- Software Library Information: This disk copy provided as a service of Public (software) Library We are not the authors of this program, nor are we associated with the author in any way other than as a distributor of the program in accordance with the author's terms of distribution.
